APPEARANCE; Shark is a fourteen-year-old boy, wearing primarily purple clothes that match wonderfully with his purple octopus-like hair. His eyes are blue and he basically has a perpetual grouchy look on his face. He looks like a jerk. And is one. Sometimes you might see him genuinely smile for a second.

Shark wears a necklace with a stylized shark tooth pendant around his neck and he has two rings on his right hand, one on the right finger and one on the pinky.
PERSONALITY; Once upon a time, there was a young professional duelist with a promising future ahead of him. Participating in the National Duel Circuit, his suffering twin sister, who had been the victim of horrible burns, begged him to win. A combination of being set up and his own desperation to fulfill her wish caused him to turn to cheating and was disqualified, ruining both his career and his reputation and most importantly, failing his sister. After that, he became bitter and ruthless, harassing and bullying others at his school and running with bad crowds. Until one day he received a metaphorical slap in the face from a goofy, loud and annoying amateur underclassman.

Ryoga Kamishiro, better known by his nickname Shark, is as ferocious as his nickname suggests. While he has mellowed out from the worst of his delinquent days, Shark remains a touchy person. He has little patience, especially when he's stressed out, and is snappy and standoffish to anyone he doesn't like. Shark likes to give off an air of confidence, expressing himself via contempt or aggression and having no issues with picking fights whether it involves fists or words or cards. Especially cards. He particularly enjoys outwitting his opponents and he will most certainly rub it in their faces if he does. When Shark has a goal, one that's incredibly important to him, he will go very far to achieve it. He'll crush anyone who stands in his way, and he'll sacrifice everything to see that goal reached without a second thought. He's quite the destructive person. To both his enemies and himself.

Shark has problems controlling his negative emotions and his usual outlet for them is hate and anger, making him prone to episodes of blind rage. It's through this weakness that the sea dragons Number 17: Leviath Dragon and later on, Number 32: Marine Biting Dragon Shark Drake, was able to merge with him, allowing it to possess and control him. As such, Shark is vulnerable to possession or manipulation when this side of him is preyed upon. It's relatively easy to provoke Shark - either intentionally or unintentionally. He usually requires an intervention of some kind to truly quell his emotions. In the presence of positive influences like friends, he has much better handle on himself and is much less likely to fly off the handle and even stop himself from raging if it's someone he feels particularly close to. But well, Shark is very often lacking in the friends department. He doesn't trust people very easily and if he has a negative opinion of someone, it will take a long time for it to change. Shark likes to feel like he belongs somewhere, which isn't easy when you're a difficult to get along with delinquent with a guilt complex. He's been known to hang out in bad areas and with questionable crowds, simply because they can provide him with that feeling even if he actively dislikes them until he comes to his senses. Which, again, usually requires an intervention. Shark is aware of his problems and does his best to control them, usually through sheer willpower and with moral support. It was through this determination that he was able to bring Shark Drake under his control.

Shark is actually pretty prone to bouts of sappiness in certain circumstances, often when he realizes he's screwed up royally or he wants to communicate his more delicate emotions.

He still has good qualities. He has a strong sense of honor and always keeps his word and his end of bargains, something he did even when he was at his worst. While by no means nice, Shark still has some empathy and does his best to refrain from being cruel if he can help it. Keyword being if. Shark hates cheaters and dirty tricks and he himself will always play fair, whether it's in games or in a fight. When he's calm, he's actually quite level headed and looks out for his friends no matter how much he may complain about it. While he is willing to accept friendship, people will really have to work for it. Shark doesn't believe that people should get involved with him for their own sakes. While he's not evil, he thinks that people would be better off leaving him alone because he's not exactly the greatest person in the world. Only the most persistent will get through to him.

Shark generally divides people into one of three categories. While not everybody can fit neatly into one of them, the majority of people will. The first is a small group of people that he's incredibly attached to. It's around these people that Shark smiles and he enjoys teasing the ones who give funny reactions. As much as he likes these people, he still tends to act distant and cold to them, but those who know him well will probably be able to detect warmth and affection from him. If harm has come to one of these people, Shark will swear revenge and do everything in his power to make the culprit pay. Shark is extremely devoted to people he cares about and will go to great lengths for them, even if that means terrible consequences for himself such as hits to his reputation or even if it threatens his life. It's fine from his point of view - after all, his hands are already dirty. What's a little more? And it keeps others' clean.

The second category is the people he despises. Not people who annoy him or he simply dislikes, but a deep, powerful loathing with all his being. These are people who have done terrible things to Shark and the people he cares about. Against these people, Shark will hold and carry grudges however long he must until he feels that these people have paid for their crimes.

The third category is everybody else. He doesn't give a flying fish about them.
HISTORY; Shark @ YGO Wikia, article uses his dub name, Reginald Kastle

FIRST PERSON; A dear_mun post
THIRD PERSON; The concept of different worlds was not new to Shark. In fact, he was more familiar with it than he cared to be. And the thing he knew best about them was they seem to cause nothing but trouble.

This world seemed no different. At first, it looks a lot like what he's used to, but there were little changes that made a big difference. It was strange to see no Obots patrolling the streets in their routine, yet harried looking ways. It was strange to see no duels anywhere. Oh, and it was also strange to see real live monsters going about on their daily business, intermixed among humans as if it were the most natural thing.

Shark opened his eyes and pushed himself off the wall he was leaning against. He's seen many strange things, but the fact that it everything here just seems so normal is what makes this place all the more stranger. In one hand, he held a card and he looks down at it, studying it intently. His gaze then drifts back upward at the creature before him, who makes eye contact, but says nothing to him.

He already knew monsters were real. He had dealt with them personally. But this was the first time he had seen one in living form. Once again, Shark's eyes wander to the card and then back at the monster - at the Digimon.

So he's fated to have this creature as a companion then? How bothersome.

But it can't be any worse than Shark Drake.
